Verdell Chandler

Verdell Bones-Chandler was born on August 14, 1950 to Christine P. Wagoner and James (Boy) Bones. Verdell was one of seven children born to this union. Her siblings were Shirley Bones-Kelly, James Bones Jr., Michael R. Bones, Marilyn V. Bones, Edwardine Bones and Diane Bones-Freeman. Both parents and her six siblings all preceded her in death.

Verdell professed a hope in Christ at an early age. Verdell married Howard

T. Chandler and to this union two children were born, Howard T. Chandler Jr. (preceded her in death) and Sherrod T. Chandler of Chicago, IL. Verdell was the best mom ever and a very hard worker.

Verdell graduated from Dunbar Vocational High School. In her career she became a supervisor at Time Life Magazine; a supervisor at Chicago Tribune; and a supervisor at Bankers Life and Casualty Co.

She leaves to cherish her memories: One son, Sherrod Chandler; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends; and a very special friend, Mr. Johnny Berry of Chicago, IL.

She will be greatly missed.
