Phyllis Davis, affectionately known as Tut-Tut by her loved ones, was born on August 25, 1971. She was born at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL to Florine and Frank Davis Sr., who welcomed her and her twin brother Phillip, with loving arms.
Phyllis attended Autism Specialty Academy on the Westside, from elementary to high school, where she learned life skills and sign language communication skills. She graduated in 1989.
Phyllis transitioned to heaven on December 18, 2025 at 4:11 a.m. at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She couldn’t wait to move from her old house to her new heavenly home to be with the Lord, her father, Frank Sr., and her sister, Linda (Pat), whom preceded her in departure from this earthly life.
Phyllis (Tut-Tut) was known to be a loving, affectionate person to everyone who graced her life. She always left a lasting impression, a wide smile and a warm heart. Phyllis loved fashion. She stayed clothed in the latest trends. Most of all, she loved purses and gym shoes. She had a Jordan gym shoe collection that M.J. would be proud of. If you knew her love for purses, you knew to bring an extra purse with you when visiting, to gift her, or she was definitely taking yours and making it her own.
Phyllis’ twin brother, Phillip, will miss her greatly. Her sister Mary, who was a second mother and best friend, will forever be grateful for the times they had together.
Phyllis (Tut-Tut) leaves to cherish her memories: Her loving mother, Florine; her sisters, Pamela (David), Tammy, Sherry, Mary Jean and Saleena, all of Chicago, IL and Patricia Brown-Davis of Monroe, LA; her brothers, Ricky, Frank Jr., Glen, Bruce (Pamela), Phillip and Jackie, all of Chicago, IL and David (Michelle) of Rayville, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, who all loved her dearly.
