Mr. Paul Gilbert

Paul Leroy Gilbert was born October 8, 1954 to Earnest Matthews and Lenore Gilbert in Chicago, Illinois.

Paul attended Harrison High School and later on went to Job Corps where he received a trade in Carpentry. Paul worked various jobs.

Paul was born into eternity on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his place of residence.

Paul was preceded in death by: His fathers, Earnest Matthews and Lee Dallas, Sr.; two brothers, James Dallas and Isaac Gilbert; and one sister, Iva Dallas.

Paul leaves to cherish his memory: His loving mother, Lenore Dallas - Jones; three children, Racheal Pennington, Shenita Pennington, and J. P. Gilbert; one brother, Lee (Clarissa) Dallas, Jr.; four sisters, Catherine (George) Matthews, Marzell Matthews, Tamera Matthews, and Martha Dallas; a very special stepmom, Marveline Fisher; grandchildren, two special friends, Adelbert Little and Carl Golden; a special friend, Tracy; two aunts, Janet Smith-Warren and Jacqueline Butler-Coats; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
