Lionel Booker, affectionately known as Bigg Lord, was born in Chicago on June 30, 1990 to Martha McDaniels and Hiram Booker. He attended Faraday Elementary School, Richard T. Crane High School, and received his diploma from Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos in 2010. As he departed this life on August 4, 2025, he is preceded in death by: His stepfather, Earnest Tyler; sister, Betty Booker; brother, Hiram Booker III; and four nephews, Willie, Jalen, Darian & Jarvis.
Bigg Lord's life was always filled with laughter and love as he enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, rapping, and joking. He will always be remembered for his infamous quotes and jokes such as “look what you say, big shoe ass, big boot ass, goof ass, bomb, on my daddy, and more”. While he wore so many hats, nothing overshadowed the pure love and support that he had for his children each and every day. Bigg Lord also had the pleasure of being a positive role model to so many youths at Chicago Military Academy where he was employed for almost 5 years. His love for many of them was unmatched.
While this is a tremendous loss for everyone who loved Bigg Lord, he leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Martha; his wife, Laquesha; his children, LaNya, LaMaje, Londyn, Logan, and step daughter, LaMya; his siblings, Marsha, Hope, Travis, Lizzie, Issac, and Christopher; his aunts, Mary and Shirley and uncles, Roosevelt, Charles, Darrel, and Isaiah. He is also survived by: Three special nephews, Kahari, Big Issac, and Lil Issac; three god-children, Darian, Zahra, and Khaleesi; special friends, Bruce, James, Neiko, Laverick, Domo, Cordero, Darrell, Cleodis, Shannon, Deonte, Terrell, and his “card crew”; along with a host of so many nieces, nephews, grandparents, cousins, and other family and friends.
