Larry L Hampton

Mr. Larry Hampton was born on December 15, 1956, in Chicago, to Lorraine and Leroy. At an early age, Larry moved to Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to be with family. It was here that he attended school and graduated from Aliquippa High. After graduation he proudly enlisted in the United States Army. 

Following his military service, Larry returned to Chicago to care for his aging mother, demonstrating his deep love and commitment to family. Larry was employed for many years at Wilbur Wright College, where he was well known. respected, and loved by colleagues and students alike. 

Larry will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, strength and devotion. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love remains in our hearts forever. 

Larry Hampton peacefully departed this life on Thursday, February 5, 2026. He is preceded in death by: His parents; his four siblings, Dora Mae (Roosevelt) Barden, Sandra (Lemuel) Kemp, Patricia Hampton and Lamar Hampton; and his nephew, Terry Bruce Barden. 

Larry leaves to cherish his loving memories: his only living sibling, Gail Terry of Houston, TX; his devoted nephew, Roosevelt Barden Jr.; a special cousin, Atha B. Langworthy; his dearest friend, Felicia Ross; his beloved great nieces, Tenesha Ross Peterson and Ardina Jenkins; nineteen nieces and nephews; as well as a great host of extended family members and friends in Aliquippa, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Montgomery, Mobile and Blythville.
