Kay Frances Carloss was born on June 14, 1939 to the late Alonzo and Katie Bell Sloss. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky.
Kay had a daughter, Gloria Sloss. She adopted her niece, Kimberly Booker as a daughter. Her spirit was so nurturing, she was always helping others. Kay was beautiful inside and out. She will be truly missed.
Kay was a hardworking woman. She purchased her first home at 27 years old. She lived on the same block for over five decades. Her cooking skills were top tier. She fed everyone and opened her doors to most. She was Mrs. Kay to everyone. Kay very much loved music, she loved to show off her dance moves with her loved ones.
Kay departed this life on May 30, 2025.
She is preceded in death by: Her husband, William Carloss; her beloved daughter, Gloria Sloss; brothers, William Sloss, Alomo Sloss, Roy Lee Sloss, Ronald Sloss, Wayne Lee Sloss, and Glen Ray Sloss; and sisters, Helen Boyce, Jean Taylor and Sandra Woods; mother, Katie Bell Camp; and father, Alonzo Sloss.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her siblings, Larry Sloss, Geraldine Sloss, Ann Sloss and Tondalaya Sloss; adopted daughter/niece, Kimberly Booker; her grandchildren, Parrish Fields, April Sloss, Kevin Sloss, Tiffany Sloss, Kelley Sloss and Kay Sloss; step up sons, James Freeman, Everette Williams and Nathaniel Williams; her aunt, Jonnetta; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends including best friend, Denise Faulkner
