Judy "Dee Dee" Williams

Sep 22, 1959 — Jul 3, 2026

Judy Kathleen Barnhart was born on September 22, 1959, to John and Regina Barnhart at Cook County Hospital. She was the third born of seven children; 5 girls and 2 boys. They affectionately called her “Dee Dee”.

Judy attended Plamondon Elementary. After graduating, she attended Harrison High School. She excelled, showcased her beautiful vocal talent and graduated at the top of her class. Shortly thereafter, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Danielle and years later a precious baby boy named Kelly.

Dee Dee was a free spirit who always had a song in her heart. And she just loved to laugh! Her infectious spirit always guaranteed a good time in her presence. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing poetry, listening to Motown classics, and of course, like every other Barnhart: She LOVED ALL animals and spent every waking moment with them.

In 2004, James Williams met Judy, dated and fell in love. In October of 2004, they officially tied the knot. He knew her heart and was her safe space. And she was the light in his life and his constant support, until she was called Home to Glory.

Judy’s Voice, Laughs And Memories Will Forever Live In Us All.

She is preceded in death by: Her parents; two sisters, Bonnie (Cookie) and Cheryl (Sissy); her nephews, Reggie and Carl (Mr. B); great nephew, D’Andre (Dae-Dae); and her fur babies, Lexi and Rexi.

Judy leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her wonderful husband, James; her children, Danielle and Kelly; her bonus children, Tamika, Jerl, Jeremy, Mary, and James Prez; her siblings, John Ralph (Valerie), Alaina, Erik (Angela) and Jewel (Danny); her granddaughters, Deonna and Jada; 15 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, 4 great great nieces and nephews; and lastly, her fur baby, Hazel.
