• Born on November 10, 1940 to William Densmore Sr. and Ollie Jones in Emelle, Alabama. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• Known as Culiva by her Dad and Baby Sister by her Mother. That was “Edna Mae’. 

• Was Baptized at Jones Church in Emelle, Alabama at an early age. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A student at Jones School 1st-6th, Pilgrim School 7th-9th and Sumter County Training School 10th-12th where she was a self-proclaimed tomboy, played basketball and ran track. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• Was the wife of Joseph Edward Bradley, whom she met in 1956 in Emelle, Alabama and after three years, they entered into Holy Matrimony on August 8, 1959 (63 years). That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• The Mother of Sylvester Leon, Rose Lynell and Irving Dale. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• Moved to Chicago, Illinois with her Family in 1959. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• Worked in the field of Customer Service at Allied Radio, Alden, Mt. Sinai Hospital and O’Hare Airport. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A person that loved to sing and would not hesitate to stand up and hit a note at a loved one’s Homegoing or at her husband’s 80th birthday party! That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• An avid reader of many types of books specially, those on Psychology and she loved Poetry. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A person that tried to instill values in her Family. That was ‘Edna Mae’ 

• A person that always shopped for a bargain. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• Baked tall-layered Chocolate and Coconut cakes. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• On the Mother’s Board at Helping Hands M. B. Church and later became a member of Garfield Park Community Worship Center. That was ‘Edna Bradley’. 

• A person that walked to McDonald’s every morning to meet with her fellow Elder friends and have coffee. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A strong-willed person that never backed down. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A person that would say exactly what is on her mind no matter who she said it to. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A charitable giver. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A person that everyone in her neighborhood knew. That was ‘Edna Mae’ 

• A person that was set in the old-fashioned ways and never changed. That was ‘Edna Mae’. 

• A Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother, Mother In-Law, Sister, Aunt and Friend: 

To her Husband: Joseph Edward (preceded her in death). Her Children: Sylvester Leon (LaRez), Rose Lynell (Willie) and Irving Dale. Her Grandchildren: Tenesha (Sammy), LaKendric (Michel), De-Andric, Pasha (Tyrell), Kiara, Rosie, Carmen, Keilah, Sylvia, Dr. Eboni, Irving Jr. Her Great Grandchildren: Christian, Gabrielle, Ezra, Aria, Ever, East, Camila, Evalyn, Thiago, Isabella, Ayden, Kyrie, Naomi, Korey and Jonas. Her Great-Great Grandchildren: Kazmir and Kailani. Sisters: Bertha, Alice (preceded her in death) and Martha (Preceded her in death). Brothers: Saul (preceded her in death) and William Densmore Jr. Sister-in-law: Lucille. Sons-in-law: Jerome and Gregory and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. THAT WAS ‘EDNA MAE’!
