Diane Ingram-Kelley was born to Samuel Ingram Sr. and Thelma Ree Ingram on July 12, 1955 in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois. Diane was one of nine children. She is preceded in death by: Her mother and father; and her two brothers, Samuel Ingram Jr. and Phillip Ingram.
She peacefully departed this life on June 10, 2026 at her place of residence at 1030 North Leclaire Ave., where she resided for over 50 years.
Diane lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. She was a faithful member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and served as both an usher and nurse. She loved serving God and others. She was educated in the Chicago Public School system and attended Manley High School. She worked as a Housekeeper at Elevate Nursing Home for 25 years and retired in July of 2020. Diane was known for her warm spirit and caring nature. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support for those she loved.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: Her husband, Roy Kelley Jr. and their 3 children they raised together for approximately 53 years - her daughter, Chiquita Harris and son-in-law John Harris; her daughter, Monique Kelley; and her son, Derrick Kelley and daughter-in-law, Brittany Kelley. Also cherishing her memory are her grand-children, Denzell Marsh, Allen Evans, Daijah Kelley-Brown, Ad’Janae Kelley, and Tammyah Kelley.
She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings; Bonnie Almore, Faye Hall, Beverly Ingram, Paul Ingram, Thelma Lewis, and Carnell Ingram; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, and her dear friends who will cherish her memories.
Our Mom will be deeply missed. Her legacy of faith, love, service, strength, and devotion to her family will continue to live in our heart, mind, and spirit. Her smile will be forever missed, along with hearing her laughter and her jokes. She always had a way to put a smile on our faces. She will be... Forever Loved. Forever Remembered. Forever Missed. We love you and give you thanks for all you have done for us.
