Darlene was born on September 20, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Gregory Elementary School and Manley Career Academy High School. She was later employed at Diamond Security Company. In 1996,
Darlene made Minnesota her home. Darlene loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, creating memories that will last forever. She had a great sense of humor and loved to cook.
Darlene departed this life on Thursday, October 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Adolph Johnson; her ex-husband Terry Banks; loving mother Bertha L. Williams and step-father Larry Jackson; her son Terry “Jack” Wiliams Banks, Jr.; three brothers, Mamiso “L.D.” Williams Jr., Darnell Williams, and Samuel Williams; three aunts Josephine, Rose Lee and Eliza.
Darlene leaves to cherish her memory; one loving daughter, Crystal Banks-Cox (Donald); one son, Cordell White; five grandchildren, Fontane, Laquita, Donald, Kiya and Kaylen; one aunt, Queen Williams; five sisters, Geraldine Williams, Lula Olayeye, Barbara Jean Drivers and Diane Williams; two brothers, Percy Lee Williams and Johnny Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
